Agile promotes Jamie Connor to lead Aviation operations in Australia and New Zealand

Agile Insurance Group today announced that Jamie Connor has been promoted to Head of Aviation,
Australia and New Zealand.
Jamie has fulfilled the role of Senior Underwriter in Agile’s aviation team since joining the company in
2019 and provided key support to the Head of Aviation, Michael Dalton, who has assumed the Global
aviation leadership role following the launch of Agile’s Syndicate at Lloyd’s, AUS2427, in May this year.
Jamie has a solid pedigree in aviation insurance, having started as a claims handler in the London
market in 2005. In 2010, he moved with his family to Australia and continued his aviation-focused
career as an underwriter before a short stint as an aviation specialist broker in 2018.

Agile is an Australian insurtech insurance group originally established as a Lloyd’s Coverholder in 2015,
with 60 staff based in Australia and the Philippines and writing Aviation, Accident and Health, Casualty,
Construction, Cyber, Financial Lines, Marine, Property, and Retail Travel. General Aviation was the first
product to receive a full binder and quickly establish a strong position in the Australian market.
Agile is known for its leading technological capability and digital distribution – its Powered-by-Agile
platform provides brokers with instant access to quote-to-close functionality for simpler risks, freeing
the underwriter and the broker to spend more time on bespoke solutions for more complex client needs.
Agile’s May launch of its underwriting syndicate at Lloyd’s was followed by the approval of its
Australian MGA as a Syndicate Service Company and the establishment of additional operations in New
Zealand.
